Do you offer first lesson free? NO! I offer 1st lesson HALF PRICE If a person comes to my dojo looking for a free lesson that person is not qualified to be my student, because they don't respect my time nor do they really value my expertise. ALL LESSONS MUST BE PAID FOR AT THE START OF THE CLASS
How much are lessons?
Pay as you go fees for classes are as follows;
Adults £6.00
Juniors / Students / NHS / Public Servants** £5.00
** Proof required for discounts on fees for example NUS Card, Uni Card, Warrant Card etc.
You can save money by paying for classes monthly by standing order. You must be a club member to qualify for this. Please ask when at the club.
Are the classes okay for beginner’s or do I need to have done any previous martial arts training?
Yes the classes are ideal for beginners. You do not need any previous training as our chief instructor and assistant instructors will guide and instruct you in everything you will need to know.
Are the classes only for beginners or can advanced practitioners come too?
Advanced practitioners are welcomed into our club too. Every martial arts instructor has their own unique way of teaching and motivating students. There is always something that you can learn or train slightly different thusly adding to your pre-existing font of knowledge.
Do I need to buy any equipment before I start?
No do not purchase any equipment before you start our classes. Anything that you will require for classes shall be purchased through the club catalogue.
What do I wear?
Just wear clothes that are comfortable and sensible to train in. For example tee shirt and jogging bottoms are ideal for starting out. We prefer that you have bare feet when training.
How do I join the club?
We allow four weeks for you to try the classes and decide whether or not you want to become a member. After this period you MUST purchase membership Licence and Insurance and club membership for the style you are wanting to train in if you wish to continue training with our club.
How much is Licence and Insurance and club membership?
We are currently offering FREE club membership when new students purchase their Licence and Insurance. All students will be charged yearly club membership alongside their licence and insurance fees from January 2009.
1 year Martial Arts Licence and Insurance fee for each STYLE you study £25:00*must be renewed annually*
Yearly Club membership RRP £10:00
This means you are saving £10:00
* If you want to grade in more than one style then you have to purchase the relevant licence and membership for each of those styles.
How much do the club training uniforms cost?
Standard club uniform from £25:00. This must be purchased before students grade for their white belts. Other uniforms also available for the more dedicated students see club catalogue for more details.
Who do I make cheques payable to?
Please make all cheques payable to REBECCA KANE. (When paying via this method goods will be dispatched as soon as possible after the cheque has cleared. We will inform you if items are going to be later.)
Is there any other information I need to know once I have become a club member?
You have to renew your insurance fee every year in January. The current cost is £25:00 per student, per renewal for each style that a student studies.
